With What and on What Can Musician Write in the Digital Age: Analysis of Modern Mobile Devices

Abstract

This article for the first time considers educational and methodological issues of the work of musicians-performers and theorists with the latest generation of mobile devices in terms of their capabilities for hand writing-notation, reading musical samples and specialized work with them. The features of digital tablets, e-books, styluses, as well as special music applications are analyzed in detail. Convenient and effective ways of using them in the classroom (in online, offline and hybrid forms) and home / preparatory work of musicians-teachers and students are proposed.
