Abstract
The article is concerned with Alexey Losev’s experience of teaching at Moscow Conservatory of Music and his views on methods of teaching a cycle of aesthetic disciplines as well as the internal structure of such a cycle. In 1929 Losev tries to justify aesthetics as a strictly scientific discipline. Gradually his original conception of a course of aesthetic theories transforms into an idea of creating a monumental eight-volume “History of Ancients Aesthetics”.
