About the Journal
The Journal of Moscow Conservatory (Nauchnyy vestnik Moskovskoy konservatorii) is a peer-reviewed quarterly covering issues of music history and theory, musical performance, musical aesthetics, general theory of art.
Founded in December 2009. Issued since 2010.
Publication frequency is four issues per year, both in print and online (March, June, September, December).
The Journal’s mission is to maintain the best traditions of Russian musicology and to contribute towards its integration into the international academic community. The editorial policy of the Journal is aimed at uniting the efforts of Russian and foreign scholars in the study of the past and present of Russian music and at supporting a fruitful international dialogue on a wide range of current academic issues.
The main language of the Journal is Russian. Some articles are published in English and if appropriate in other European languages; in such cases, the online version of the Journal may additionally publish these articles in Russian.
