This article uses previously secret archival documents of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on the foreign policy and diplomacy of the main anti-Hitler coalition countries to focus on the post-war solemn events of 1945 in the Soviet Union and the USA, dedicated to Rachmaninoff. For the first time in “Rakhmaninology” Victoria Vronskaya and Viktor Babin are named, who repeatedly performed the composer’s works for 2 pianos; special attention is paid to their performing version of “Symphonic Dances”.
