Vincenzo Manfredini and the Russian Imperial Court: Unknown Pages of the Composer’s Biography and Work

Abstract

The paper reveals new facts concerning Vincenzo Manfredini’s biography and work. Based on archive documents, we estimated the time frame of Manfredini’s first stay in Russia, creation period of a number of his works and their location. “Alcune notizie biografiche di Vincenzo Manfredini” written by his son Giovanni are published here in the Russian translation for the first time.
