Abstract
The article highlights the beginning of the performing activities of one of the prominent Russian harpists of the 20th century — Mikhail P. Mchedelov (1903–1974). The memories of the harper, presented for the first time ever and dating back to 1934, help to detail the musician’s creative portrait, and also give an opportunity to get an idea of the condition of the Russian harp art of the first half of the past century.
