Abstract
In order to try to predict and predict the development of this or that phenomenon, to imagine its future, both a correct look into the past and an accurate analysis of the present state of affairs are necessary. Turning to the past of Russian musical pedagogy, we can confidently assert that, along with the highest individual achievements of composers, performers, scientists, one of the fundamental achievements was the system of continuous professional education.
