Margarita N. Timofeeva

Born in Novgorod (1955), graduated from the Music Theory Department of Novgorod College of Music (1971), Petrozavodsk branch of Leningrad State Conservatory with a degree in musicology (1982), post-graduate course at the Russian Institute of Art History in St. Petersburg with a degree in the art of music (2014). Ph.D. (2016; thesis: The theme of buffoonery in Russian musical culture: instrumental aspect). Since 1982, she has been working as a teacher of musical theoretical subjects at Rachmaninov Novgorod College of Arts.
