Svetlana V. Lavrova

Composer and musicologist; Doctor Habil., Vice-rector for Research and Development at Vaganova Ballet Academy (St. Petersburg). Since 1998 — member of the Union of Russian Composers. Since 2002 — Head of the composers’ association “Multimedia”.
In 1994 graduated from Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory, where she studied composition under Full Prof. Vladimir I. Tsytovich, and in 1996 — completed her post-graduate studies. In 2001 she underwent a study course at Royal Conservatory of The Hague under Martijn Padding and Louis Andriessen. In 2016 Svetlana Lavrova defended her doctoral thesis “Projections of the Main Concepts of Post-Structuralism in the Music of Post-Serialism”. She is the laureate of the governmental prize of St. Petersburg in the field of culture and arts.
