Olga P. Saigushkina

Graduated from the Piano Department of the Lvov State Conservatory (class of Prof. A. L. Eydelman — pupil of F. M. Blumenfeld). Completed postgraduate course at the Leningrad Conservatory. Ph.D.  thesis: «Artistic Image in the Creative Work of the Performer» (1980). Associate Professor at the Piano Department of the St.Petersburg Conservatory (teaches since 1978). She is the author of more than 40 scientific articles. Her teaching load includes lecture courses (History of Piano Art, Methods of Piano Teaching) and practical studies (Piano for composers, conductors and musicologists, Pedagogical practice for pianists). She also works as scientific advisor for students of the Piano Department at yearly projects and scientific degree works. For many years she plays piano ensemble music in different concert halls of St. Petersburg. In 2007 Saigushkina was granted Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Culture.
