Biography
Born in 1961 in Malakhovka, Moscow region. Graduated from the Music Theory and History Department of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (1986). Doctor of Fine Arts (2000), thesis: Overture in the Baroque Era. The editor-in-chief of journal Starinnaya Musyka (Early Music Quarterly) since 1998. Leading research fellow of the Research Center for Methodology of Historical Musicology at the Foreign Music History Subdepartment at the Moscow Conservatory (since 2010).
