“Digital Keys” for the Third Decade of the 21th Century: New Anchors and Values in the Perception and Application of Digital Sound

Abstract

This article deals with the perception of the features and sound capabilities of modern digital keyboards and their emulators (in mobile applications). For the first time, an attempt is made to consider the issues of quality and technical specifics of sound in relation to how the system of cultural values and beliefs of professional and non-professional musicians was reflected in relation to digital sound. Much attention is paid to methodological and practical recommendations on the use of digital instruments in music pedagogy, especially in the context of online teaching of musical and theoretical disciplines in music schools, colleges and universities.
