Graduated from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory as clarinetist (class of L. Mikhailov) and completed his postgraduate education at the Conservatory as musicologist (scientific advisor Prof. Yu. Usov). Doctor of Fine Arts (2000). The winner of national competition of the humanities (1993). Has carried out scien tific training (history of instrumental music of XVII–XVIII centuries) in Sweelinck-conser vatoire (Amsterdam, 1997, 1999), University of Turin (2001), National conservatoire of Paris (2004, 2009). More than 20 years he worked as clarinetist, art director of ensembles of cham ber music, musical director of the Moscow theatres, conductor and arranger of various orchestras. Professor of Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory (performing art history, ensemble of wind instruments). More than 60 pub lished works on the performing art problems, history of the French musical culture, musical pedagogy.
