Born 1978 in the village of Novy Utchan Alnashsky District of the Udmurt Republic. As a pianist graduated from the Republican Musical College (1998), then as a musicologist graduated from Glazunov Petrozavodsk State Conservatory, the Department of Music of the Finno-Ugric Peoples (2003) and postgraduate studies at the Udmurt Institute of History, Language and Literature of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (UIHLL UB RAS). Ph. D. (2006; thesis: The Udmurt Lyric Songs: the Origins and Formation of Tradition, supervisor T.G.Vladykina). Since 2004 assistant of the Department of Literature and Folklore of the UIHLL UB RAS, since 2007 — Junior Researcher, since 2009 — Researcher of the Department of Philological Research, UIHLL UB RAS.
