Associate Professor at the Department of Organ, Harpsichord and Carillon of St. Petersburg State University. She also lectures at the Department of Music Theory of St. Petersburg Conservatory and at Mussorgsky Music College. In 1999, she graduated from St.Petersburg Conservatory, where she studied under Full Prof. K.I.Yuzhak, and in 2003 completed her postgraduate study at Petrozavodsk Glazunov Conservatory. Dr. Yankus received her Ph.D. degree in 2004; thesis: Polyphony in Haydn’s String Quartets (scientific advisor — Full Prof. K.I.Yuzhak). She is the author of several studies on theory and history of polyphony published in Russia and abroad.
