Ekaterina K. Karelina

Musicologist, Doctor Habil. (Art Criticism), Associate Professor, member of the Composer’s Union of Russia, ICTMD member, Honored Art Worker of the Tyva Republic. Born in Kyzyl, graduated from the Department of Theory and Composition of Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, then completed her postgraduate course there. From 1989 to 2014 she worked at A. V. Chyrgal-ool Kyzyl College of Arts as a teacher, deputy director, director. At the same time, she worked at Tuva State University. In 2015–2022 E. K. Karelina worked at Glinka Novosibirsk State Conservatory. Since 2023 to the present — Main Research Fellow at the International Khöömei Academy (Tyva Republic), editor-in-chief of the academic journal “Khöömei and the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Central Asia.”
