Biography

Born in 1929. Pianist, Ph.D. (1956), Associate Professor (1965). Graduated from Kazan Conservatory (1952) where she studied with Professor Albert Leman; received her postgraduate education in Moscow Conservatory (1952–1956) under the supervision of Professor Yakov Zak. In 1956, she defended her Ph.D. thesis “Tatar Piano Music”. She taught piano at Novosibirsk Conservatory (1956–1960), Minsk Conservatory (1960–1966) and Kazan Conservatory (1966–1993), while also being a concert pianist. Her repertoire includes pieces by classical and contemporary composers. She has recorded a number of compositions by contemporary Belorussian and Tatar composers for the archives at Belorussian and Tatar Radio. Among her students — Doctors of Fine Arts, Professors and Associate Professors. She is the author of a number of papers and also the editor of 24 Preludes by Pyotr Podkovyrov.
