Irina V. Shevtsova (Velikovskaya)

Born in  Vologda. Graduated from the  Academic Music College at the  Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory (2004), the  Moscow Conservatory  as  cellist (2009, class of  Prof.  A.  N.  Seleznev) and the postgraduate studies of  the  Chamber Ensemble and  Quartet Subdepartment  of  the  Conservatory (class of  Prof.  A.  V.  Galkovsky). Ph.D. (2014, thesis: Works by Sofia Gubaidulina for cello: problems of musical content, composition and interpretation,  scientific  advisor Prof.  V. N. Kholopova). Since  2009 she  is a  member of  the  String Ensemble "FranzQuartet". Plays in  the  orchestra of the Moscow theatre "New Opera".
