Biography
Professor Emeritus of Music at the University of California at Santa Barbara. He is the author of The Music of Igor Stravinsky, Stravinsky and ‘The Rite of Spring,’ and Music, Politics and the Academy. His latest book, co-authored with John McGinness, is Stravinsky and the Russian Period: Sound and Legacy of a Musical Idiom (Cambridge University Press, 2012).
