Dmitriy V. Sokolovskiy

Born in 1975 in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. In 2001 graduated from V. P. Astafyev Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University with a degree in history and psychology. He worked as a sound engineer at Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theater. Founded the Youth Experimental Electronic Music Studio (Krasnoyarsk). He taught at the Subdepartment of Sound Engineering, Krasnoyarsk State Academy of Music and Theater (now — Dmitri Hvorostovsky Siberian State Academy of Arts), including original courses “History and Theory of Electronic Music” and “Theory of Synthesis and Transformation of Sound,” being also engaged in scientific research in these areas. Currently works as Deputy Director for Scientific and Methodological Activities of Krasnoyarsk Regional Research and Training Center for Culture Professionals. Dmitriy considers his mission to promote the development of contemporary directions of sound art.
