Elena Yu. Matveeva

Born  Tambov. Graduated from the Music History and Theory Department,  Gnessin Russian Academy of Music (1997). In 2000 she completed the postgraduate course at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Ph. D. thesis «Joseph Haydn’s Musical Theatre» (scientific advisor Prof. L. V. Kirillina, 2000). Taught at the Music History and Theory Subdepartment, the Tambov Rachmaninov Music Institute. Associate Professor since  2008.

Since 2011 — Associate Professor of the Subdepartment of Aesthetics, History and Theory of Culture at Gerasimov All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK).
