Pier Giuseppe Gillio

Teaches the "Forms of Poetry for Music" and the "History of Musical Theatre" courses at the Cantelli Conservatory of Novara, Italy. He is the author of numerous essays on 18^th century Venetian music and the book  L’attività  musicale negli ospedali di Venezia nel Settecento (Florence, 2006); also he has written articles on versification and musical rhythm, 18^th and  19^th century opera singers,  the  librettist  Giuseppe  Giacosa, solo motets, politico-encomiastic cantatas.
