Tatiana I. Frumkis


Graduated from Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatoire, Department of Music Theory and Composition (1969), specializing in the history of music. Since 1987 she has been a Member of the Russian Composers’ Union. She is the author of numerous publications on Western European, Russian and Soviet music. Since 1990 she lives in Germany, where she continues her professional activities as a musicologist, journalist and critic. She is the author of articles published in Russian (Music Academy, Musical Life) and German (Russian-language — Kulturwelten, Jewish Panorama and German-language — MusikTexte, Positionen, OSTEUROPA) magazines, Internet portals (Strawinsky online), encyclopedias and lexicons (such as Komponisten der Gegenwart (KdG) and others. Author of texts in booklets for international festivals of contemporary music held in different countries, concerts and CDs.
